We spent the whole day in bed, only getting up one reason… Alex for his diarrhea and Yumi to occasionally throw up.
We feel much better now. For the last 3 or 4 days, we tried to figure out what we ate that resulted in such lash back. Whatever it really knocked us out. Alex started getting sick first, right after coming back from Pattaya. He was unusually unhungry with a mild headache. Later in the day, Yumi started getting noxious.
I wont post pictures, but one of the things Alex got from the market was dried squid, so his projectile diarrhea was solid black, as well as the toilet after he left.
Alex still believes that that the squid ink caused him to get sick, Yumi and Yukako think it was either fish we got at the market, or it was caused by the fresh levee the fish was wrapped into. Or the dirty water used to wash the levee. Maybe it was the soup we got from one of the vendors. The point it, is was very very hot, and 2 weeks was too soon for our stomach to develop enough immunity to be this adventurous.
Yukako was super nice, she made us some egg congee and brought it along with some fruits to our hotel.
I was very surprised to see Yumi bust out a bag full of various medications, along with some stomach cures, anti nausea pills, etc.. Just wow! If it wasnt for these pills I suspect our recovery would take much longer.
